Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for subject and level assigned
• Demonstrated competency in the core or required academic subject area
• Knowledge of subjects assigned
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• At least one year of student teaching, approved internship or clinical teaching.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the district curriculum.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for different learning styles.
• Present subject matter per TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials for diverse learners.
• Conduct ongoing assessment and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to support IEPs.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers as needed.
• Use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Maintain communication with parents, students, and staff.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in committees as required.
