Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent (U.S. equivalency) required.
• Paraprofessional certificate from State Board of Certification.
• Completion of a teacher assistant training program or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of child growth and behavior; ability to work with diverse groups.

Responsabilités

• Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat, orderly classroom and adapt space to student needs.
• Assist with inventory, equipment care, and records.
• Support substitutes and assist teachers with administrative tasks and reports.
• Aid students with disabilities, including transfers and personal care.
• Support classroom curriculum and supervise students during the day, including meals and recess.
• Help manage behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in staff development and meetings.
