Job summary

Granite School District is seeking a paraeducator/self-contained instructional assistant in a SPED program. The position supports the supervising teacher by delivering direct services to students and assisting in classroom programming.

Strong attendance, reliability, and ability to work with diverse students are essential. Hours are 29 per week through November, with potential extra hours for the remainder of the school year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• For Title I schools: 48 college credits or pass the ParaPro exam.

Responsibilities

• Implement drill and practice exercises designed by the teacher for groups or individuals.
• Keep accurate data on assigned groups and individuals for teacher use in data collection.
• Supervise and monitor student instructional activities within the school and in community settings.
• Provide personal maintenance care for students related to self-help and hygiene.
• Implement procedures to manage student behavior per district policies.
• Support a safe, positive classroom environment and assist students in regular classes.
• Prepare and adapt instructional materials under teacher direction.
