Job summary

The Princeton Independent School District is seeking a Classroom Instructional Aide to support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and managing classroom activities. Under the supervision of certified staff, you will work with individuals or small groups to reinforce reading, writing, and math skills.

You will help prepare instructional materials, maintain classroom displays, and assist with testing and records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or two years of college completed.
• Experience working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
• Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Cover classes for teacher absences when substitutes are not available.
