• SKILLS/ABILITIES to perform complex tasks: assessment instruments, record-keeping, and collaboration with staff.
• CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT and student support including behavior and safety considerations.
• DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION to address individual student needs and IEP goals.

Responsibilities

• Administers developmental testing and subject-specific assessments to guide learning plans.
• Administers first aid and assistance to medically fragile children as needed.
• Communicates student progress with parents/guardians and supports home collaboration.
• Assesses progress toward objectives and provides feedback to students, parents and administrators.
• Collaborates with teachers, other staff and community resources to improve student outcomes.
• Serves as case manager for special education students and supports classroom teachers.
