Job summary

Duncan Lake Middle School in Caledonia, Michigan is seeking a Level 1 Paraprofessional (Special Education-Resource Room) for 27.5 hours per week. The role supports instruction and IEP implementation under a certified teacher.

You will assist in small groups, reinforce core subjects, manage behavior, and provide personal care as needed. This is a part-time position reporting to the Building Principal and includes benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework is not required but preferred.
• Experience with students or individuals with disabilities is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Implement instructional strategies and IEPS under supervision of a certified teacher.
• Monitor testing, manage makeup work, and assist with clerical duties.
• Provide personal care as needed, including toileting, feeding, and medication administration.
