Job summary

Midland Independent School District is seeking a SPED Teacher, Resource/Inclusion for Bowie Fine Arts Academy in Midland, TX. The role focuses on providing specialized instruction and coordinating IEPs for students with special needs.

The candidate will participate in ARD Committee meetings, collaborate with families, and implement differentiated instruction while using assistive technologies. Eligible for TEA probationary certification. Immediate start date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university.
• Valid teaching certificate for subject/grade level assigned; Special Education certified eligible for the appropriate Probationary Certificate through the TEA approved Teacher Certification Program.

Responsibilities

• Participate in ARD Committee meetings on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEP through ARD process for each student assigned.
• Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned with written evidence of preparation as required.
• Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for individual student differences.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs of diverse student groups.
• Plan and supervise assignments for teacher assistants and/or volunteers.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree
