Job summary

Aide – SpEd Preschool at Ccsdut supports instructional programs in preschool classrooms by assisting teachers with instruction, supervising students, supporting IEP goals, and helping maintain safe classroom environments.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred; job-related experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities and materials under teacher direction to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist medically fragile or physically disabled students with personal care and hygiene needs.
• Provide immediate first aid or medical assistance when directed by healthcare professionals.
• Assist teachers in implementing behavioral or instructional plans developed by IEP teams.
• Monitor students to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide individual and small-group instruction to support academic, social, and daily living skills.
• Maintain instructional materials and classroom records.
• Communicate with teachers and support personnel regarding student progress.
• Attend meetings, workshops and training sessions related to job responsibilities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
