Job summary

HealthPro Pediatrics, a division of HealthPro Heritage, seeks a SPED Paraprofessional in Mt. Pleasant, SC to support students in the classroom. This is a full-time, W-2 role with hourly pay between $25 and $30.

You will assist teachers, understand students' needs, and contribute to a collaborative, growth-focused team. Weekends and school breaks are part of the schedule; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma; Associates Degree preferred.
• Teaching Assistant/Paraprofessional certification required where applicable.
• Interest in pursuing a therapy or educational career.
• Basic computer and web-based tools experience (e.g., Google Meet).
• Good written and verbal skills.
• Personable and enjoys working with teachers, parents, and students K-12.
• Collaboration with classroom teachers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct supervision of children as directed by the teacher or administrator.
• Demonstrates understanding of students’ disabilities.
• Loads/unloads wheelchair bound students, if needed.
• Demonstrates schedule flexibility and everyday adaptability.
• Cooperates and contributes in a team approach with staff.
• Communicates with colleagues, supervisors, and students.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all aspects of work with special education children.
• Participates in meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Participates in all meetings, training programs, and in-service sessions as assigned by the building or district administrator
• Performs such other duties as may be directed by the Principal and Teacher

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements for education - High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred
• Teaching Assistant/Paraprofessional certification required where applicable
• Prefer someone with interest in pursing a therapy or educational career
• Basic computer and web based programs experience, such as Google meets, chat, etc.
• Need to possess good written and verbal skills
• Personable individual who enjoys working with Teachers, Parents, and Students from Kindergarten to 12th grade
• Will be working alongside Classroom Teachers
