Job summary

Dysart Unified School District is hiring a 0.875 FTE SPED Paraprofessional – Resource for K-8 in Surprise, AZ. The paraprofessional will assist the Special Education Teacher with IEP implementation and support students across the continuum of services.

Responsibilities include following lesson plans, coordinating with staff, maintaining FERPA confidentiality, and helping with instructional materials and daily living activities. Requires high school diploma or GED and IVP fingerprint clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA degree or 60 college credits or passing Dysart-approved exam.
• Must obtain and maintain IVP fingerprint clearance card.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education Teacher with implementing IEPs.
• Help students in general education curriculum on a continuum of services.
• Follow lesson plans and support daily living activities as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality under FERPA and school policies.
• Prepare instructional materials and participate in district professional development.
• Attend trainings including Medicaid reimbursement programs.
