Candidates must have ParaPro test score 464 or college hours and obtain Paraprofessional Educational Aide II

Qualifications

Bilingual may be required for respective positions
College hours for Title I campus: 48 required or a score of 464 on the ParaPro test
College hours 15 or high school diploma or GED (with a passing score of 464 on the ParaPro test) for Non-Title I campus
Communicate and work with students
Maintain effective working relationships
Minimum clerical skills
Good physical and emotional condition
Work with confidential material
Paraprofessional Educational Aide II certificate required once employed
Primary Title I campus requires 48 hours or 464 ParaPro score

Responsibilities

Assist teachers with the preparation, implementation, and data collection of student academic, behavioral, and functional goals, accommodations, modifications, and delivery of supports
Deliver accommodations, modifications, and other supports to students with special education services in whole group, small group, or individually, as described in the IEP.
Assist teachers with classroom management and behavioral plans. Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain confidential student records.
Other SHARS Duties as assigned.
Provide Personal Care as identified in applicable student IEPs.
