Job summary

Montgomery ISD is seeking a Paraprofessional for Special Education to assist students with disabilities. Responsibilities include providing personal care and implementing instructional programs while working under the supervision of a special education teacher.

The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED and a valid Texas educational aide certificate. Experience with children with disabilities is preferred, and applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience working with children or adults in providing self-care or behavior support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist specified student(s) with disabilities in meeting personal care and self-help needs.
• Implement classroom programs including self-help and behavior management.
• Work under the supervision of the certified special education teacher.

Effective communication skills

Education

High school diploma or GED

Two years of study at an institution of higher learning
