Job summary

Ro Health, LLC is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026–2027 school year and beyond. This role places you in various districts across Massachusetts, supporting students with disabilities during typical school hours.

Pay ranges from $19 to $23 per hour, depending on assignment and experience. You will work under supervision with teachers and specialists to implement IEPs, support learning, behavior strategies, and daily living skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience working with children, especially in school, camp, or care settings is preferred.
  • Ability to pass state and/or federal background checks and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to students with disabilities, focusing on behavioral, social-emotional, academic, and educational development.
  • Assist in implementing individualized behavior interventions and strategies outlined in IEPs and student support plans.
  • Support students with academic tasks, classroom activities, and instructional materials based on their individual needs.
  • Monitor and document student behavior, progress, and responses to interventions.
  • Support positive behavior management and reinforce social-emotional, communication, and interpersonal skill development in the classroom.
  • Provide support with transitions, routines, organization, and daily classroom expectations.
  • Facilitate one-on-one or small group sessions targeting behavioral, academic, and skill-building goals.
  • Promote student independence and self-advocacy through prompting, modeling, reinforcement, and other appropriate support strategies.
  • Support students in developing communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, BCBAs, and specialists to ensure consistency and effectiveness of behavioral and educational supports.
  • Assist with de-escalation and crisis prevention strategies in accordance with student plans and school protocols.
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment that promotes student success.
