Job summary

Eagle Woods Academy is seeking a SPED Paraprofessional to support teachers in meeting the educational, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students in the classroom and community. Essential duties include providing small group or individualized instruction, helping with classroom management, assisting with student performance assessments and recordkeeping, and preparing instructional materials.

A minimum of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with GPA 2.0+ is required, or a high school

Qualifications

• Minimum sixty (60) semester hours or ninety (90) quarter hours with GPA 2.0+ from an accredited college or university.
• High school diploma or GED with a passing score on the Georgia GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Must obtain valid Professional Standards Commission paraprofessional certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provides small group and/or individualized instruction in line with lesson plans.
• Supports teachers with classroom management to foster an effective learning environment.
• Assesses student performance and assists with related recordkeeping.
• Develops and organizes instructional materials and ensures availability before lessons.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
