Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator (Level III) at Oakland Terrace Elementary School in Silver Spring. The role supports students with IEPs, providing academic, behavioral, social, emotional, and physical assistance.

Position is part-time (0.500 FTE), 4 hours per day over 10 months. Training opportunities include SSPGS competencies; probationary period with promotion path to grade 18 after six months.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and instructional goals.
• Ability to implement instructional programs and monitor behavior.

Responsibilities

• Support students with IEP goals and learning activities.
• Assist with personal care and medical needs as required.
• Participate in activities off campus as needed.
• Perform clerical tasks to support teachers and staff.
