Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience with school-age children preferred.
• Para-educator certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with educational activities.
• Monitor pupils in classroom and supervise during field trips, recess and other activities.
• Prepare instructional materials using computers and audiovisual equipment.
• Assist in organizing and utilizing reference and source materials; assist teacher in developing materials.
• Assists in assessing student work and in implementing IEPs.
• Assist in implementing behavior management strategies and procedures.
• Operate basic classroom equipment and record results.
• Assist students with work completion and daily activities.
• Complete Medicaid documentation as required.
• Attend in-service training and meetings.
