Job summary

Alpine School District is seeking a SpEd Para II to support the instructional program under the direction of a classroom teacher. You will assist in implementing plans for instruction, monitor behavior, collect data, and support IEP objectives in both the regular and self-contained classrooms.

Ideal candidates may have job-related experience; 16+ years old and a high school diploma or equivalent are required. Training and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities under supervision to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Monitors student behavior during instructional and non-instructional time.
• Collects data for reports and progress tracking.
• Communicates with supervising staff to evaluate progress and implement IEPs.
• Provides instruction in individual and group activities to reinforce learning objectives.
• Attends trainings and in-service sessions related to job functions.
• Maintains instructional materials and records to ensure availability and compliance.
• Assists in behavioral plan implementation under supervision to support learning.
• Ensures safe learning environment by supervising students in various school settings.
