Job summary

Farmington Municipal Schools seeks an Educational Assistant to support licensed teachers by addressing individual student needs in the classroom and helping prepare our students academically and socially for school success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• AA degree or 45 college hours including required courses, or passing the ParaEducator exam.
• Possess a Level III NM Educational Assistant license and a Substitute license.
• Other qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Board.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed personnel in the school environment.
• Support with individual program materials and student supervision.
• Assist with student discipline and maintaining student involvement.
• Assist with classroom instruction and reinforce teacher lesson plans.
• Work with small groups to reinforce material introduced by teachers.
• Be familiar with textbooks and course content.
