Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an Intervention Specialist to diagnose and address learning, social, and emotional skill gaps for K-12 students. You will collaborate with school teams and families, deliver SESI’s evidence-based models, and support students with smaller class settings.

You will maintain IEPs, BIPs, and progress reports while implementing behavior interventions and safety procedures as needed. A current license and credential are required.

Qualifications

• Current Intervention Specialist license required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role.
• Commitment to learning and implementing feedback.
• Adaptability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Use SESI’s strategies and curricula to teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and meet student needs.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation and crisis management when necessary.
• Maintain student documents such as IEPs, BIPs, incident reports, and high-risk evaluation forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students, including movements within the school.
