Job summary

BASIS Flagstaff is seeking qualified candidates for a Special Education Instructional Assistant to start ASAP. The role involves providing paraprofessional support for students with diverse exceptionalities under the ESS Coordinator and SPED teacher, including 1:1 and small groups.

Responsibilities include reinforcing behavioral expectations, assisting with IEP implementation, preparing materials, maintaining confidentiality, and reporting progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• IVP fingerprint clearance card required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with disabilities in general education, small group setting, or 1:1.
• Reinforce positive behavior expectations.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and progress information.
• Assist with preparation of resource materials for individual students/small groups.
• Provide progress reporting information to ESS Coordinator/SPED Teacher.
• Help implement IEPs.
• Reinforce and reteach concepts introduced by SPED teachers.
• Support administrative and clerical tasks.
• Maintain regular, full attendance.
• Potential CPI/TACT-2 designee.
• Other duties as assigned.
