What you can expect

Compensation
  • Base Pay: Base salary plus $8,500 in Prop 301 money. Salary ranges: up to four years experience $45,575‑$55,475; four or more years $47,575‑$57,475.
  • Performance Pay: Additional $4,500 in Prop 301 performance pay.
  • One‑Time Critical‑Needs Stipends: Math, science, kindergarten – $2,000. Special education – $5,000.
  • Annual Stipends (pending certification): Special Education Teachers – case‑management stipend up to $4,000; Special Education teachers in ED‑P classrooms – $10,000 stipend.
To Qualify
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree from an accredited institution.
  • Identity‑Verified Print fingerprint clearance card through Arizona Department of Public Safety (or ability to obtain before start date).
  • Teaching certification through Arizona Department of Education: Standard Professional/Special Education, Moderated or Severe Disabilities, K‑12 Certificate, Standard Professional teaching certificate with a Provisional or full Moderate/Severe Disabilities, PreK‑12 endorsement, and SEI, ESL or Bilingual Endorsement issued within one year of hire.
Alternative Path to Certification

Individuals with a bachelor’s or higher degree may enroll in an Arizona Department of Education‑approved teacher preparation program to obtain an Alternative Teaching Certificate for eligibility.
