Special Education Ed Tech I - Speech Helper MSAD 54 is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Ed Tech I - Speech Helper to join our team.


We are looking for an educator who believes deeply in the power of relationships, collaboration, and engaging instruction to help every child grow academically and personally.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Assist Speech Language Pathologist providing telehealth for students in grades K-3

  • Work with individuals or small groups of students to provide instructional support under direct speech supervision

  • Ensure a safe environment through consistency and communication with students and staff

  • Maintain timely and accurate records of student work completion, behavioral progress and other areas, following established routines and procedures

  • Perform additional related duties as requested by the Building Administrator or supervising teacher


The successful candidate will assist with classroom activities, provide academic and behavioral support to students, and help promote student engagement and success. Strong communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students is essential. A passion for supporting student learning and development is encouraged.


These positions are 7 hours per day/full time. We offer excellent benefits and competitive hourly rates.


Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check/Fingerprinting and Educational Technician I Certification required.
