Job summary

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional certification required before employment
• Ability to assist students with disabilities and follow instructions
• General office equipment knowledge
• Ability to lift and position students and assist with activities

Responsibilities

• Adhere to policies and procedures for special education paraprofessionals
• Participate in in-services and professional growth
• Assist in carrying out instructional program
• Maintain confidential student records and data
• Prepare, use and maintain instructional materials and equipment
• Assist with teacher-planned activities and drills
• Provide personal care as identified in IEPs
• Support therapy programs as required
• Attend professional meetings as required
• Assist in implementing behavior intervention strategies

Education

Paraprofessional Educational Aide certificate II

CPI certification

ParaPro test score 464 (Title I)
