Job summary

Boston Public Schools Fenway High in Boston, Massachusetts is seeking a Paraprofessional to support SPED Autism Programs. The role reports to the Principal/Head of School and collaborates with teachers to create an engaging, high-quality educational environment for students.

Starting immediately, the paraprofessional will assist with direct instruction, prepare instructional materials, manage routines, and supervise students on field trips.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 48 college credits or an Associate's Degree, or ParaPro/WorkKeys certification.
• Minimum of two years experience working with young children.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings
• Provides assistance with classroom activities.
• Prepares instructional materials.
• Assists in classroom set up and clean up.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior, using prescribed approaches.
• Supervises students on field trips.
• Performs other related duties as requested by Head of School/Principal.
