Qualifications

• Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment toward the SPED Teacher's Aide position and CSUSA's mission.
• Strong time management & organizational skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with teachers, students, parents, and administrative staff.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS) and email communications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the daily program under the direction of the SPED teacher.
• Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up centers and materials.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to review instruction and support reading groups.
• Supervise outside playground activities and school transitions.
• Help with general housekeeping tasks and clerical duties as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and recommended training programs.
• Operate classroom instructional equipment and follow directions from the SPED lead.
• Promote high academic achievement and positive character education.
• Maintain confidentiality about students and families.
