Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Part-Time Specimen Technician II in Nyack, NY for a rotating 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule. The role supports the Specimen Processing Department with data entry, processing, and delivery of specimens to the laboratory.

This position emphasizes accuracy, organization, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements. Ideal candidates will have a data background, hospital specimen processing experience, and familiarity with EPIC lab systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with specimen processing in a clinical laboratory.
• Comfort working in a biohazard environment and following safety procedures.
• Ability to learn and apply regulatory requirements related to tests.

Responsibilities

• Support Specimen Processing Department functions.
• Perform data entry and ensure accuracy of specimen data.
• Assist with sorting, pickup/delivery of processed specimens, imaging, and aliquoting as needed.
• Maintain organized work area and adhere to production standards.
