Pride Health is hiring a Lab Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Albuquerque, NM. The role is a contract position with a 3rd shift schedule and a potential extension, offering a solid entry point into a top-tier healthcare organization.

You will receive, sort, and prepare specimens for testing, perform processing tasks, and operate laboratory systems. Qualifications include a high school diploma; medical assistant training preferred; no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare specimens for testing.
• Perform specimen processing, aliquoting, slide preparation, and inoculation.

• Conduct routine instrument maintenance and QA/QC activities.
• Resolve pending lists and locate missing samples.
• Prepare reagents and media as needed.
• Store, retrieve, and document specimens and temperature logs.
• Decontaminate work areas and dispose of biohazardous materials.
• Perform weekly radioactive wipe tests.
• Change gas cylinders and follow all PPE and safety requirements.
• Complete required training and competency assessments.

Schedule: 3 rd shift

Pay Range/Salary Range: $17 - $17.30

Contract Duration:3+ months

Job Description:
