Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Lab Assistant to support a medical facility in Miramar, FL. This is a contract role with a possible extension and provides a pathway to work with a leading healthcare organization.

Location: Miramar, FL. Schedule: 3rd shift 9pm – 5:30am EST. Pay: $17–$19.50 per hour. Contract duration: 3+ months. High school diploma required; Medical assistant training preferred; no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare specimens for testing.
• Perform specimen processing, aliquoting, slide preparation, and inoculation.
• Operate laboratory computer systems and maintain records.
• Conduct routine instrument maintenance and QA/QC activities.
• Resolve pending lists and locate missing samples.
• Prepare reagents and media as needed.
• Store, retrieve, and document specimens and temperature logs.
• Decontaminate work areas and dispose of biohazardous materials.
• Perform weekly radioactive wipe tests.
• Change gas cylinders and follow PPE/safety requirements.
• Complete required training and competency assessments.
