UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory is seeking a Receiving Chemist to process thousands of specimens annually. You will accession, aliquot, and store samples, perform immunoassay screening and pH measurements, and manage documentation following SOPs.

The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and flexibility for overtime as needed. Applicants should be proficient with pipettes, pH meters, refractometers, and balances, and maintain compliant laboratory operations and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately use laboratory equipment and follow SOPs.
• High attention to detail and precise record-keeping.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Experience in receiving, accessioning, and processing specimens or similar lab support.
• Strong commitment to quality assurance and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process urine and non-biological specimens.
• Accession, aliquot, process, and store specimens per SOPs.
• Perform routine tests including immunoassay screening and pH measurements.
• Prepare and ship urine collection kits and required shipping docs.
• Maintain accurate electronic and manual records of specimens and activities.
• Keep receiving/processing areas organized and compliant with standards.
• Assist with inventory management and lab supply distribution.
