Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Accession and data entry of incoming specimens into LIS.
• Review requisitions for completeness and verify specimen labeling and integrity.
• Maintain detailed records of specimen rejection and problems.
• Triage specimens to the appropriate department and coordinate shipping as needed.
• Communicate testing status and non-conformances to sites; assist with billing info.
• Interact with ordering physician offices, patients, and payors to obtain preauthorization.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy.
• Support daily lab operations and quality control under CLIA requirements.
