Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated team member for the Specimen Processing and Accessioning role in St. Paul, MN. You will prepare specimens for analysis, unpack and route specimens, label accurately, pack and ship to testing facilities, and input patient information into the system.

The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a pay rate of $17.75 per hour. Preferred candidates have lab experience, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and comfort working in a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year or more of experience in a lab or specimen processing preferred.
• 1 year or more of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in St. Paul, MN.

Work Schedule: Tuesday- Saturday 8:00am- 4:30pm.

Pay Rate: $17.75

All job offers will bebased on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicabledegrees/certifications,as well as internal equity and market data.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas

• Accurately identify and label specimens

• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities

• Meet department activity and production goals

• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples

• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualification

• Current or prior Labcorp experience

• 1 year or more of experience in a lab or specimen processing

• 1 year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience

• 1 year or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital

• 1 year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment

• Comfortable handling biological specimens

• Ability to accurately identify specimens

• Experience working in a team environment

• Strong data entry and organizational skills

• High level of attention to detail

• Proficient in MS Office

• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
