Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated team member to join the Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in St. Paul, MN. The role involves preparing and labeling specimens, routing them to the correct areas, and ensuring accurate data entry, with a Tue–Sat 5:00 pm–1:30 am schedule.

Payrate starts at $17.75 per hour plus shift differential, with comprehensive benefits for eligible employees. Prior Labcorp experience and 1 year in a lab setting are preferred.

• Labcorp experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in St. Paul, MN.

Work Schedule

Tues - Sat 5:00 pm - 1:30 a.m.

Pay Rate

• $17.75 per hour plus shift differential

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualification

• Current or prior Labcorp experience
• 1 year or more of experience in a lab or specimen processing
• 1 year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience
• 1 year or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician’s office, clinic or hospital
• 1 year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment

Additional Job Standards

• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
