Job description

Overview

Pride Health is hiring a Forensic Processing Technician to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Lenexa, KS 66219.

This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $18.20/hr

Schedule and location

Schedule: 5 am – 1:30 pm, Monday – Friday or 5 am – 1:30 pm, Tuesday – Saturday (40 hrs/week)

Location: Lenexa, KS 66219

Compensation note: Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials; the rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume.

Responsibilities

Has a preliminary but functional understanding of the QTN Lab Information System

Sort specimens by source (hair, oral fluid, urine, etc.) and work list

Completes Maxilog Data Entry

Understands and adheres to strict forensic practices

Capable of processing urine specimens for regulated and non-regulated testing independently

Adheres to company policies and procedures

Proficient with scanning/imaging all custody and control forms

Capable of discarding negative specimens

Performs flexilog on routine urine specimens at 70 CCFs per hour

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Work Experience: Prior laboratory experience preferred

Other: Able to sit or stand for long periods, work in a laboratory environment, and adhere to safety requirements; excellent communication skills both written and verbal; practical knowledge of computer systems; commitment to customer satisfaction

Needs to be able to lift 20 lbs.
