Job description

Pride Health is hiring a “Specimen Processing – Specimen Technician” to support our client’s medical facility based in Lewisville TX 75067. This is a 3‑month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top‑tier healthcare organization!

Pay rate: $17.88/hour

Location: Lewisville, TX 75067

Duration: 3‑4‑month contract with possible extension

Shift: Hours: 2pm - 10:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides general support within the Specimen Processing Department in a high‑volume production environment.
• Performs data entry, pre‑sort, specimen pickup/delivery, imaging, centrifugation, and aliquoting with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintains strong attention to detail, organization, and compliance with changing laboratory regulations.
• Works efficiently in a biohazard setting while following safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Meets productivity benchmarks, including fast and accurate data entry (up to 6,000 keystrokes/hour).
• Demonstrates flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and adapt to changing demands.
• Communicates effectively with staff, maintains a clean workspace, and upholds customer service quality.
• Requires high school diploma; basic computer skills required; lab/medical background preferred but not mandatory.
• Must have reliable transportation, strong English communication skills, and excellent attendance and punctuality.
