Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in basic science preferred.
• Experience in a clinical medical laboratory is desired.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform accessioning and processing of specimens.
• Evaluate specimens and document special handling requirements.
• Prepare slides and specimens for testing; prepare reagents and sterile supplies.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation per protocols; perform QC and calibration.
• Troubleshoot common equipment issues and ensure an orderly workstation.
• Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed.
• Provide customer service and collaborate with internal/external customers.
• Train staff, students, and fellows using established checklists.
