Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Specimen Technician for a Sacramento, CA laboratory client. The role supports the Specimen Processing Department with data entry and handling of specimens through screening, presort, pickup and delivery to the lab.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and the ability to learn safety and compliance in a biohazard environment while maintaining productivity and accuracy. No prior experience is required, though lab exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with laboratory testing/processing preferred.
• No experience required; laboratory experience preferred.
• Medical background and terminology preferred for clinical labs.
• Production environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support within the Specimen Processing Department.
• Data entry with a background in alphanumeric keystrokes.
• Handle A-station, presort, pickup/delivery of specimens.
• Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and organization.
• Work in a biohazard environment following safety policies.
• Communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
