Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum: 2 years of job-related experience.
• Alternatively: 1 year of experience may apply at Laboratory Aide 2 (LSS011) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, open, and inspect specimens as they arrive.
• Accurately log patient identifiers and accession numbers with requisition forms.
• Process specimens in a biosafety environment following universal precautions.
• Maintain logs of discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare specimens for testing and ensure timely accessioning and data entry.
