Job summary

Harris Health in Houston is seeking a Laboratory Technician to correctly receive, accession, process, and ensure proper identification of specimens in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will evaluate specimen integrity, notify appropriate personnel of unacceptable specimens, perform laboratory order entry and specimen receiving functions, assign computer-generated identification numbers, check accuracy, and record all items processed, contributing to timely patient care.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year healthcare experience desired, but not required.
