Job summary

Labcorp in Renton, WA is seeking a Specimen Processing Team Lead to oversee accessioning operations during a Monday–Friday 5:00 pm–1:30 am shift. You will guide the team, manage specimen preparation and data entry, and drive process improvements in a high-throughput laboratory setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year in a clinical lab or hospital; Associate's degree and AP/Histology experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year or more experience in a clinical laboratory or hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the oversight of the day to day operations of the accessioning department.
• Lead the team in daily processes and procedures.
• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Oversee routing of specimens to prep areas.
• Encourage process improvements and best practices.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Resolve production errors as requested by management.
• Research and resolve production errors; escalate when necessary.
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.
• Enforce and manage policies and procedures.
• Perform administrative duties as needed.
