Job summary

Qualifications

• Internal candidates minimum of one year in SPT III/related role.
• 3 years experience in a laboratory environment with Specimen Processing preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in all Specimen Processing duties.
• Troubleshoots issues and collaborates with technical departments.
• Assists SPTs with test selection and problem resolution.
• Answers questions from employees regarding processing.
• Provides feedback to supervisors when problems arise.
• Prepares shift paperwork and ensures staff cleanup at shift end.
• Monitors inventory and orders supplies as needed.
• Repairs and maintains department equipment and reports major repairs.
• Supports training, cross-training and department audits.
• Assists in prioritizing work and monitoring production.
• Helps manage overtime and ensures policy adherence.
