Job summary

Labcorp in Woodland Park, NJ is seeking a Specimen Processing Specialist to join our team. The role involves accessioning, sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced environment at one of our client offices, with a Monday–Friday 3:00pm–11:30pm schedule and rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include preparing specimens for analysis, labeling, packing/shipping, and ensuring accuracy of data and orders. The pay range is $17.75–$21.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and equal opportunity

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, data entry, manufacturing or warehouse).
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Experience with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Communicate effectively with client office staff.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated.
• Do spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on client.
