Job summary

Labcorp in Woodland Park, NJ is seeking a Specimen Processor II to prepare laboratory specimens for analysis, label and ship samples, and ensure accurate data entry in a fast-paced environment onsite.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of lab or data-entry experience; 2+ years in a medical setting is preferred. Schedule is Monday–Friday 11:00am–7:30pm with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, data entry, manufacturing or warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Communicate effectively with client office staff.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated.
• Do spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on client.
• The position, Specimen Processing Specialist, will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices
