Job summary

Labcorp in Raritan, NJ is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team. This role supports clinical lab workflows, preparing specimens for testing, data entry, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

The shift is Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am, with overtime opportunities based on needs. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and preferred experience in specimen processing or medical/laboratory settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
