Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Specimen Processing Manager to oversee Specimen Processing, Imaging, Cytology Processing and Tech Ops, Monday–Friday, with a 11:59 PM to 9:00 AM shift.

The role requires a minimum of 8 years in a laboratory with at least 4 years in direct supervisory leadership, and a BA/BS degree. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with comprehensive benefits and performance incentives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years laboratory experience with at least 4 years of direct supervisory experience in a clinical or anatomical pathology laboratory.
• Bachelor’s Degree BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Specimen Processing, Imaging, Cytology Processing and Tech Ops.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety and productivity standards.
• Lead training and daily operations across related departments.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects and presentations.
• Maintain low error rate and high-quality output.
• Manage staffing requirements including weekends and holidays.

This position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Pay range: $120,000+ per year

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Oversee Specimen Processing, Imaging, Cytology Processing and Tech Ops, may also oversee some or all of the following: Referral Testing, TestInQuestion, and Histology Processing. Responsible for overseeingthefollowing activities: training of all personnel, all daily operations of related departments,Ensureall Compliance Policies are followed, low error rate, and productivity within company standards. Ensure maintenance of a safe, ergonomically sound, professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• The ability to effectively work with other departments to resolve problems. Must have interpersonal skills to gain cooperation with otherdepartments, andfoster continuous improvements.
• Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements, weekends, and holidays, on call and long hours.
