Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Specimen Processing Manager in Houston, TX. The role oversees specimen processing, imaging, cytology processing, and tech operations with responsibility for training and daily operations.

The position requires 8+ years in a laboratory setting with at least 4 years supervising in clinical or anatomical pathology labs, plus strong leadership and organizational skills. Salary includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a pay range starting at $120,000+ per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years laboratory experience with at least 4 years of direct supervisory experience in the clinical or anatomical pathology laboratory.
• Experience directing specimen processing, imaging, cytology processing and related operations.
• Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Specimen Processing, Imaging, Cytology Processing and Tech Ops and related activities.
• Provide training for personnel and manage daily operations to meet company standards.
• Ensure compliance with policies and maintain a safe, ergonomic, professional environment.
• Maintain low error rates and productivity within established benchmarks.
• Lead projects within the work group and across cross-functional teams.

Specimen Processing Manager - Houston, TX, Monday to Friday, 11:59 PM to 9:00 AM,

This position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Pay range: $120,000+ per year

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Oversee Specimen Processing, Imaging, Cytology Processing and Tech Ops, may also oversee some or all of the following: Referral Testing, TestInQuestion, and Histology Processing. Responsible for overseeingthefollowing activities: training of all personnel, all daily operations of related departments,Ensureall Compliance Policies are followed, low error rate, and productivity within company standards. Ensure maintenance of a safe, ergonomically sound, professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Must have the mental alertness and high energy required to appropriately performing the job.
• The ability to effectively work with other departments to resolve problems. Must have interpersonal skills to gain cooperation with otherdepartments, andfoster continuous improvements.
• Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements, weekends, and holidays, on call and long hours.

Qualifications:
