Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is hiring a Specimen Processing Supervisor in Chantilly, VA. The role covers supervising daily operations of the Specimen Processing department with a Thursday–Monday schedule, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and oversight of training, quality, and safety programs.

The successful candidate will develop SOPs, manage staff performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory and QA requirements while supporting process improvements and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Internal candidates require a minimum of two years in a Group Leader/related role
• 5 years experience in a laboratory; Medical or production background preferred
• Previous people leadership experience preferred
• Pursuant to code CA BPC 1269 under CLIA, any lab releasing results for California work must have at least a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Specimen Processing department and related functions
• Ensure safety, ergonomics, maintenance, and cleanliness of the department
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for Specimen Processing
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local licensure and internal QA processes
• Monitor training, competency, and performance evaluations of staff
• Coordinate staffing, timekeeping, and scheduling to meet department needs
