Job summary

Qualifications

• 3 months experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Registration and medical terminology knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and performs test order entry into the laboratory information system.
• Verifies specimen identification and processes specimens per procedures.
• Maintains clean work area and ensures adequate supplies for efficient operations.
• Provides support such as answering phones, faxing reports, and send-outs.
• Operates and maintains instrumentation and recognizes problems and takes action.
• Mentors MLA students in specimen processing per WPAHS policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
