PathGroup in Brunswick, GA is seeking an accession clerk to receive, log, and accurately enter data for specimens entering the laboratory. You will transpose accession numbers to cassettes and slides, label specimens, print cassettes, scan and verify documents, and support safety and quality within the department.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, and a medical background is preferred; knowledge of medical terminology is a plus for effective collaboration with clinical staff.

• Receive, log, sort and assign accession number and maintain identifying number.
• Specimen entry, labeling specimens and slides and printing cassettes.
• Scanning and verifying documents.
• EH billing.
• Maintain safe work environment.
• Responsible for following established safety guidelines.
• Promotes supportive departmental communication with customers and employees.
• Knowledge of acceptance and rejection of specimen.
• Maintaining department inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned
