Job summary

NRG Labs LLC in Lake Worth, FL seeks a Laboratory Aide / Specimen Accessioner to receive, accession, label and enter specimens into the LIS for toxicology testing. You will verify identities and ensure complete patient and test information, maintaining chain-of-custody and accurate records.

This role supports laboratory operations in a fast-paced environment, requires attention to detail, ability to follow SOPs, HIPAA and CLIA compliance, and safe handling of specimens with appropriate PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous laboratory, specimen processing, or accessioning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology a plus.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate LIS.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming specimens (urine and others) for toxicology testing.
• Verify identification and ensure complete patient and collection information.
• Enter demographics, provider info, and test requests into LIS.
• Assign accession numbers and document discrepancies.
• Prepare specimens for testing and storage following SOPs.
• Maintain clean, organized accessioning workspace and proper PPE usage.
