Team Summary

The Specified Solutions Advisor is a key member of the Building and Roofing Science Team. This remote role involves developing specification opportunities for GAF | Siplast by working directly with architects, spec writers, and roofing consultants. You will collaborate closely with the Building Design Manager to build and maintain relationships with architects, specifiers, and decision-makers to incorporate our products into construction projects.

Job Summary

You will support GAF Commercial and Siplast sales teams by identifying project opportunities where the Building Science team can add value. You will work with Territory Managers to convert opportunities into wins and build relationships within the design and real estate communities through outreach, trade shows, presentations, and meetings.

Essential Duties
  • Identify market opportunities with building owners, facilities managers, associations, spec writers, architects, and consultants, focusing on building lasting relationships while managing multiple priorities.
  • Engage and build rapport at industry events (AIA, CSI, SCIP, BEC, ASLA) to influence product specifications and become a trusted advisor.
  • Work with clients to influence project specifications, providing technical expertise to meet design and performance needs.
  • Coordinate educational programs and utilize marketing tools to support sales efforts.
  • Provide technical support throughout the specification process, developing project-specific solutions and guiding clients effectively.
  • Manage follow-up and project tracking using tools like Dodge, SpecLink, MasterSpec, CRM, and the GAF website to increase sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales and science teams, communicate effectively across departments, and work with regional teams to identify and engage influential architects and specifiers.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies, sharing insights to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, balance work and fun, and respect diverse personalities to achieve sales goals.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of sales experience or industry experience preferred
  • Experience in consultative selling of roofing materials to design professionals and property owners
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the territory (1-2 weeks/month)
Qualifications Preferred
  • Technical knowledge of roofing industry
  • Strong public speaking skills and proficiency with Google Business Suite
  • Experience with Salesforce and industry certifications (CDT, LEED AP, RRO, RRC)
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and motivation
  • Ability to multitask and work independently

Consideration will be based on geography, experience, and qualifications.

Salary Range: $126,000 - $161,000 annually.

Bonus Range: $24,000 - $33,000 annually.
